The way our food is distributed cements in place production, consumption and trading practices that destroy the environment, harm animals and are deeply unjust. How can we do it better?

From 2006-08 we undertook a project on sustainable food distribution, funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. The work began by asking whether road pricing, central to UK transport policy, promote more sustainable food systems?
